My kids helped customize a catcher for their grandmother for her birthday. She has always loved color and rainbows so it was the perfect gift. Kristen went above and beyond communicating all the different color options as well as the charms available. Her packing was top notch. A wonderful person and a wonderful artist. I had purchased one pre made catcher for a friend’s work station prior to this order and I just made another purchase for my own house. I added multiple pictures so you can see how the color shifts. Really appreciate her talent and expertise and enthusiasm.

Anyway, this song came to mind when I first saw this sun catcher. I hadn't thought of it for a couple decades at least, but I looked it up again and, yeah, amazing song. Just an exquisite example of new wave at its very purest best. Quirky, jerky, romantic and amazing chord changes and instrumental arrangements. Not to mention the video so typical of the time and wide-open-possibilities-80s ethos. Now this damn song is stuck in my head again. Which I'm honestly happy about.

I gave this sun catcher to a dear friend of mine in Austin last week. It was hard to part with, but they love it, so mission accomplished. Now I need to order another one like it for my stash.

Like all the pieces I've purchased from Kristen, this sun catcher is exquisitely thought out. I'm planning to give it to a friend who is into bugs. I think this will complement perfectly their sunroom and the plants they tend.

I love the playful skull and crossbones at the top and the big honking crystal at the bottom. It throws light like crazy and I can't wait to see the look on the face of that special someone I gift it to.
